American Half Dollars the sure collectible?

The Walking Liberty Silver One half Dollar hade been designed by sculptor Adolph A. Weinman in 1916AD and was struck from 1916 to 1945. It weighs 12 and 1/2 g, 30.6mm across, together with 1.8mm thick. It’s made of 90 percent silver along with ten % copper and minted within: Denver (mint marked D), San Francisco (mint marked S), as well as Philadelphia (displaying no mint mark). This Edge being reeded. The front has the Liberty walking carrying limbs facing left with a United States flag over her shoulder. The sun having rays is on the bottom left as well as the year is centered directly below her. The Moto is on the right as well as “LIBERTY” encompuses the top of this silver coinage. The pattern had been adapted for use on the obverse of the 1986 American Silver Eagle bullion dollar coin which is still being minted. The mint marks throughout 1916 are positioned underneath the “TR” of the “In God We Trust” mote. A mint marks were moved over onto the reverse in 1917, however many from these 1917 silver coinage are below the “TR” on the front. The back displays a walking eagle looking left having spread wings with one modest tree to the left. A face value; “HALF DOLLAR” is printed encircling below this bald eagle. “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” has been written encircling above. “E PLURIBUS UNUM” will be to its left to this bald eagle. In 1917 the mark of its mint were sometimes set beneath its tree plus in 1918 thru 1947 AD all marks of the mint are positioned underneath this pine. Adolph A. Weinman had been a sculptor by profession. In ‘15 US Mint Director Robert W. Wolley thought they needed fresh patterns regarding a 1 / 2 dollar coin, 1/4 dollar, and ten cent coins. He was dissatisfied with those submitted by the mints workers then asked some sculptors for design plans. Weinman’s was selected regarding his one half dollar coin, plus his ten cent silver coin. United States of America Mint engrave George T. Morgan (developer of the Morgan silver dollar coin) aided Weinman during 1918 AD with a variety of design issues. Regardless that it may be a much loved pattern the Liberty and the bald eagle present use as ‘Very Fine’ state. It was a situation of which they attempted to handle in the course of many years of production through carving directly into the roller which makes each master dies. It seems wise to look at the letters to distinguish which conditions associated with ‘Poor’ to ‘Good’. Regarding ‘VG’ to ‘Extremely Fine’ use the eagles’ wing along with Liberty’s tree branches. Over all, its design aspects should correspond with the general use information. These Walking Liberty Half Dollar silver coins series includes a few collectible mistakes. The 1928 S with its big and small marks of the mint variation. These silver coin has premium strikes years. One being the 1921 Denver Colorado (246,000 struck) as well as Philly (208 thousand minted). Many year’s striking made well over a million silver 1/2 dollar coinage.
