I have an ipod Touch & no computer or wireless service at home, what do I do to get a wifi connection at home?

I am having a hard time finding out what I need to do. Calling wireless providers and they are telling me I cannot do it?!? Is it possible to have wireless at home without a computer? Just need it for my iPod Touch.
