Compaq Presario F7500 Charger Issues?

So I have a compaq presario f7500 laptop. I’ve had this computer for a few years now and I have gone through so many chargers! I wanna know why! They either start sparking or just fall apart I have tried replacing with both generic and name brand hp chargers but none of them seem too last for more than a year, a year if I’m really lucky. I don’t thinking I’m doing anything wrong. Anyone else have these issues either with this computer or an other laptop?

It could be that the AC adapter is getting overloaded for some reason.
If you can, try getting a higher wattage ac adapter.
also, would you by any chance have a bad battery?
a bad battery could in some cases overload an ac adapter when its charging.
also in some cases a bad battery will never reach the “stop charge percentage” and the system will keep charging the battery keeping a high load on the ac adapter.
