I’m looking for a soft throw blanket for the couch?

My wife wants a soft throw blanket she can use on the couch. Any ideas on what kind/material?

Nothing is softer ..more luxurious…sexier then an Baby Alpaca throw. They also cost a fair bit. In a lower price range is regular alpaca, cashmere or silk. These all need to be dry cleaned and are not the best options for TV viewing. The next down is Mercerized Egyptian cotton which can be machine washed.
